Last Tuesday our U16 boys had their second game of the new season and played against TV Muttenz.
After a low scoring first quarter (6:6), we started to play much better. Our combinations worked, we played with patience and as a team. Everyone played for each other. Unfortunately this phase lasted only about 4 minutes, then we totally broke down and nothing worked anymore.
We cannot even say, that the opponents got better or stronger after that, we just turned the ball over way too many time (31 turnovers in total) and didn't make the easiest baskets. Somehow, there was a big lack of concentration, not by some, by the whole team. The fourth quarter was given away by us and at the end we lost by 15 points. Of course everyone was disappointed, but from the coaches perspective I see this as an opportunity to learn from this game. We have a very young and inexperienced team this year, but these boys have alot of heart and potential. So I am positive that we will learn from this and keep on practicing hard for the upcoming games.
