Our team played against Liestal Basket 44. They won 86-61, but the score doesn't show the big effort of our team during all the match. We had a very strong match start getting advantage on the score; but,  after this advantage, they did a very good defense and this got them very good offense moves. On half time we were 12 points down, but the big difference on the score came on the third quarter between our unfortunate shoots and them fortunate shoots. On last quarter we recovered a very big disadvantage from 32 points down to the final score only 25 down doing a very strong defense and an aggressive offense.
Our team works good but the results doesn't walk with us, but only by the moment. We are hopefully on our work and the very great attitude of the group.

Unsere aus dem Low aufgestiegene U14 konnte sich heute in einem Freundschaftsspiel gegen den TV Muttenz messen, der schon die Vorrunde im High absolviert hatte. Coach Kuhn erhoffte sich Aufschluss über das Niveau auf dem nächsten Level, doch war das Spiel nur bedingt aussagekräftig. In der sehr fair ausgetragenen Begegnung wusste kein Team wirklich zu überzeugen, doch konnten beide Coaches auch ihren Anfängern viele Spielminuten geben.  Einen vielversprechenden Einstand zeigte Mikey Kroepels, der zum ersten Mal überhaupt auf einem "richtigen" Basketballfeld stand. Am Ende lautete das Score 69:68 für Uni.

​Very good match of our Men's Team against Pratteln 1 with a final score of 81-79, after a extra time. This was one of the best matches that our team has played in this season, although it was lost. 
The match had different parts, with both teams having the upper hand at different times. At the end of regular time, Pratteln scored a big 3 point shoot in the last seconds which got them into overtime.
During this extra quarter, the score was always close. At the end of extra time, a few unlucky decisions from our team gave the advantage to Pratteln 1, allowing them to win the match in the last seconds.
In spite of this defeat, our team has been playing better in every game, and the team spirit has been growing strongly. VERY GOOD JOB, TEAM!!!

After a big team effort, the Men's Team got the second victory, now against Oberdorf. The backdrop of the UniBasel Team was a strong group defense and a mixed offense between good fast breaks and very good static moves to get good options inside and outside. The key was the good defense over the big guys of Oberdorf, who would have been definitely the best option to win the game.
